PCA Mission

...to collaborate with Christian denominations
and prison officials so that prison congregations are
established in state prisons across America.

Why a prison congregation...

What Could be!

Currently there are 12 prison congregations in eight states...

P.C.A.'s mission  is to have a prison congregation in every state!

Prison Congregations Are Needed in America

--- To respond to the Biblical command to "visit the imprisoned"
--- To provide American mainline congregations a viable means to effectively engage in ministry within prison walls
--- To assist Christians, both lay and clergy, in sharing personal ministries of Christian love, care and nurture with prison inmates
--- To allow Christian inmates a community of faith through which they might grow and share in their faith and be supported in Gospel evangelism

Purposes Within This Mission Are...

--- To educate and inform Church and prison officials of the concepts and potentials of prison congregations
--- To guide and support denominations in developing and establishing prison congregations in states across the U.S.A.
--- To provide specific training and help task forces as they work to establish congregations -- specifically membership organization, volunteer training, clergy training and financial development
--- To provide ongoing support and guidance to congregations after their formation, serving as a national clearing house and "trouble-shooting" resource
