That’s our situation.
Prison Congregations
of America (PCA) believes that a model of ministry has emerged that
gives responsibility and reasons to make positive changes to inmates,
recruits and involves hundreds of new volunteers to “visit the
imprisoned,” and sets the stage for using teams of parishioners for the
effective transitioning of ex-offenders back into society.
The cost of a prison
congregation to the institution is FREE. It only requires some
space in the chapel program and cooperation in providing access to each
week’s visitors.
What is provided?
Meals: Thursday
lunch and dinner, Friday lunch
Motel: Rooms
will be provided for Thursday night
Airport transportation if necessary
What is the Cost?
The registration fee
is $125 and will cover the cost of meals and motel. A $25
deposit is required with the registration form.
Limited number of scholarships
The first 15 qualified
people who apply will be awarded a $100 scholarship, making your only
cost that of your $25 deposit and your transportation.
Deadline for registration with deposit is September 22, 2008.
