The South Dakota Penitentiary
and the Jameson Annex in Sioux Falls is home to St. Dysmas of SD (ELCA)
est. 1991, Prison Lighthouse Fellowship (Baptist General Convention)
est. 2003, and Cornerstone Prison Church (Christian Reformed) under
development. Thurs. (Oct.
9):
- Lunch
- Model & history of PCA
- Visit with inmate council
- Attend weekly worship
- Dinner with visiting team at local restaurant
Fri. (Oct. 10):
"Alumnae" of the congregation and local
parishioners involved in the "transitioning" of ex-offenders
back into society will explain this program and what makes it work.

When you develop
something you're proud of, you will naturally want to show it
off!!! That's our situation.
Prison Congregations of America
(PCA)
believes that a model of ministry has emerged that gives responsibility
and reasons to make positive changes, recruits and involves hundreds of
new volunteers to "visit the imprisoned:" and sets the stage
for using teams of parishioners for effective transitioning of
ex-offenders back into society.
The cost of a prison congregation to the
institution is FREE. It only required some space in the
chapel program and cooperation in providing access to each week's
visitors. |

Motel: A single room for each participant
Airport pickup and delivery, if desired
What is the Cost?
Registration is $125 for the above and the program materials and
resources. A $25 deposit is required for registration. But...
25 $100 Scholarships
The first 25 qualified people who apply will be awarded a
$100
scholarship. In other words, your transportation is the majority
or your
cost!!!
